January 3, 2017 – Kidogo has been named by Forbes magazine as one of 2017’s Top 30 Under 30 in the Social Entrepreneurship category. The award is given to 30 daring entrepreneurs under the age of 30 who are leveraging business tools to change the world.
The award was launched in 2012 to recognize the best leaders, innovators and game changers from around the world in 20 categories including healthcare, media, law, entertainment and sports.
In his communication to the Kidogo team, Randall Lane, Editor of Forbes Magazine, said “This year the competition was more extreme than ever before: 15,000+ nominations for just 600 spots. Today, the Forbes 30 Under 30 is harder to get into than Stanford or Harvard. Well done!”
This year’s Top 30 Under 30 include Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, Lonely Planet CEO Daniel Houghton, NHL player Patrick Kane, socialite and designer Kylie Jenner – and now, Kidogo Co-Founders Afzal & Sabrina Habib.
Previous winners include Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, NBA giant Lebron James, Snapchat’s Evan Spiegel and fashion designers Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen.
